YOUR SCRIPTURAL IDENTITY

“And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent Priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him who art thou? He said I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias”.  John 1:19, 23.

John identified himself from the Word of God and that is how we the children of God should identify ourselves. When you are conscious of your scriptural identity, you won’t feel inferior to anyone and you will have boldness to step out in faith and fulfill your glorious destiny in Christ. Your scriptural identity includes the following in case you don’t know:

You are a son of God. It is written “But as many as receive Him to them He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” John 1:12.

You are the seed of Abraham. It is written “if ye be Christ's then are ye Abrahams seed and heirs according to the promises” Galatians 3:29.

You are the light of the world.  It is written “ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14.

Ye are gods. It is written “Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods” John 10:34.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ. It is written “For he hath made him  (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him “2 Corinthians 5:21.

You are a king and a Priest of God. It is written “And hath made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10. Beloved, you are who the Word of God says you are. Don't let any other thing define you.

Lord, help me to manifest who you have made me in the name of Jesus.
