The Choice Between Good and Evil

"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God." 3 John 1:11 KJV

 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Today's scripture reminds us of a fundamental truth: we have a choice between good and evil- This choice has eternal consequences, and it's essential to understand what God expects from us.- 

"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good." This commandment is clear and straightforward. God is urging us to pursue good and shun evil- As believers, we are called to live a life that honors God, and this starts with our choices.

 "He that doeth good is of God."- When we do good, we reflect God's character. We demonstrate that we are His children, and our actions bring glory to Him- Good deeds, kindness, love, and compassion are all attributes of our Heavenly Father-

 "But he that doeth evil hath not seen God.- When we choose evil, we reject God's nature and His love. We show that we have not truly understood or experienced His presence in our lives- Evil leads us away from God, and it's a path that destroys our relationship with Him and with others- 

Let us examine our lives and choices. Are we following good or evil- Do our actions reflect God's character, or are we walking in darkness- Let us repent from our sins and seek God's guidance to walk in His ways.

May God grant us wisdom to discern good from evil. May our lives be a testimony to God's goodness and love- Let us choose to follow Him, and may our choices bring glory to His name.

Oh Lord help me to always follow that which is good to the glory of Your name in the name of Jesus I pray
