Do Good

“ But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” Hebrews 13:16 (NKJV)

With the economic realities in this country today, it is easy and natural for people to be selfish in dealings with others. The Bible verse we just read reminds us that we should do good and share with others for God is pleased with such sacrifice. 

So doing good and sharing with others is a sacrifice according to this scripture. A sacrifice is the good thing you do that is not convenient. So doing good in this verse and sharing with people is supposed to not be convenient but we are enjoined to do that good and share with others even if it is not that convenient for God is pleased with such a thing. 

If God is pleased with such a thing, it means that we shall be rewarded if we do good and share with others when it is not convenient. The scripture says “all things work together for good for them that love God who are called according to His purpose” . No matter the economic situation in this nation, it will work for our good in the name of Jesus. The opportunities to do good and share with others might just be the opportunities for God to bless and increase us. So let's heed to what the scriptures say. Do not forget to do good and to share with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Oh Help me not to miss the opportunity to do good and share with others.
